MRC founders Paul Tiah and Johnson Doe were invited to speak at the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church Distinguished Speakers Series on October 8, 2009. They spoke to the group about their journey as refugees from Liberia to the United States and what drove them to start MRC. They spoke of their faith journey and their gratefulness to their respective churches (Paul- Westlake Hills PC and Johnson- Triumphant Love Lutheran) and their role in helping them in the resettlement process. Paul now serves as a deacon at Westlake Hills PC so it was an honor for him to speak to his church and for their interest in MRC. Westlake Hills PC has donated sewing machines to our MRC sewing program for which we are very grateful.
