MRC has started a Saturday afternoon program for refugee elementary children at our community center while their parents are participating in classes at the center. Katy Mendez and Grace-Ann Osuji work with the students each week to teach them reading, help with homework and play educational games.
This past Saturday we held an Easter Egg hunt and great fun was had by all. This was followed by outdoor games of duck duck goose, Simon Says and others. It was great to see these young kids across cultures playing and learning together.
